These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all customers and visitors of The Fox and Hounds (Tilehurst) (“the Pub”, “we”, “our”, “us”) located at City Road, Tilehurst, Reading, Berkshire.
By entering our premises or using our services (including food, drink, and event attendance), you agree to comply with these Terms.

2. Age and Alcohol Sales

  • Alcohol is only sold to persons aged 18 years or over.

  • We operate a Challenge 25 policy – if you appear under 25, you may be asked to provide valid photo ID (passport, driving licence, or PASS card).

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who cannot provide proof of age or appears intoxicated.

  • It is illegal to buy alcohol for, or on behalf of, anyone under 18.

3. Behaviour and Conduct

  • We aim to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all guests. Abusive, threatening, or antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated.

  • We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove anyone from the premises without refund if their behaviour is deemed unacceptable.

  • Please treat our staff, other customers, and neighbours with respect at all times.

4. Food Service

  • Food service is available on certain days and times as advertised.

  • We take care to cater for dietary requirements, but we cannot guarantee that any food or drink is completely free from allergens or cross-contamination.

  • Customers must inform staff of any allergies or dietary restrictions before ordering.

5. Events and Entertainment

  • We host a variety of events including quiz nights, comedy nights, and live music.

  • Event schedules, ticket prices, and timings may change without notice.

  • For ticketed events, refunds are only provided if the event is cancelled or rescheduled.

  • The use of flash photography, video recording, or sound recording may be restricted at certain events.

6. Bookings and Reservations

  • Table or event reservations may require a deposit or pre-payment.

  • Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise stated or the booking is cancelled by us.

  • Please arrive on time for your booking; late arrivals may result in loss of table or space without refund.

7. Liability

  • The Fox and Hounds (Tilehurst) accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal property while on the premises.

  • Customers enter and use the premises at their own risk.

  • Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.

8. Photography and Promotions

  • We may take photographs or videos during events for marketing and promotional purposes (including on our website and social media pages).

  • If you do not wish to appear in such media, please inform a member of staff on the night.

9. Smoking and Vaping

  • Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside the premises.

  • Designated smoking areas are available outside – please dispose of cigarette ends responsibly.

10. Pets and Children

  • Well-behaved dogs are welcome in designated areas at our discretion.

  • Children (under 18) must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times and may not remain on the premises after 9:00 pm, unless attending a family-friendly event.
